Los Rios is involved in many projects to serve the community: We work closely with with Rio Grande Restoration to preserve and protect the wilderness and the health of the watershed. We provide our services to the Santa Fe and N.M. Game & Fish Department in restocking the Rio Grande with trout, and to the N.M. State Police Department for Search and Rescue operations in the Rio Grande Gorge. We also work with the charity Rivers & Birds to educate elementary school children about environmental and watershed issues.
Los Rios welcomes groups of various orientations and needs. Our trips cover a wide range of adventure levels. We have trips suitable for very small children, and for senior citizens and the disabled. We have taken groups with severe vision and hearing impairments. We provide trips focused on environmental education for schoolchildren, and on team-building for companies.
