Rock ‘n’ Raft Adventure
Maximum fun in one action-packed day! Spend the morning rappelling in the spectacular Rio Grande Gorge and experience the vertical world of rock climbing with Mountain Skills Adventures, New Mexico's premier rock-climbing guide service (no prior experience necessary). After a hearty deli-style lunch buffet on the banks of the Rio Grande, delve into the excitement of the Racecourse with its many Class 3 rapids (Class 4 in high water). It's an incredible, memorable way to spend a summer day.
No experience necessary for either climbing or rafting. Climbs are designed to be exciting for everyone! Your guides will teach you all you need to know about rappelling and climbing techniques, and how to paddle a raft as part of a precision team. In low water, you might choose to paddle your own funyak (see Racecourse page for further information).
This trip can be done in reverse, with rafting in the morning and climbing in the afternoon.
