Sunset Dinner Float
The Rio Grande is never more beautiful than at sunset, when a golden light shimmers on the green meadows of the Orilla Verde, easily accessible but tucked away from the rush of the modern world. This extraordinary high-desert evening light inspired artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and great Taos artists like Nikolai Fechin and Ernest Blumenschein. Along with the healing energy of the gently flowing waters, and perhaps a glimpse of bighorn sheep and deer coming for their evening drink, river otters playing in the shallows, and beavers awakening for their nocturnal doings, a Sunset Dinner Float is a delightful and memorable experience: the perfect end to what we hope was your perfect day in beautiful northern New Mexico.
Dinner is prepared fresh at one of the riverside campsites. Dinner consists of 3 option;
Grilled steak, green chili mashed potatos, and a baby greens side salad.
Pork tamales with mole drizzle, a wilted spinach salad, topped with an organic fried egg.
Tofu or chicken curry with Nan or Flat bread
Kids quesadilla and fruit slices
Dessert is a freshly baked cake in a dutch oven beside the campfire.
Stories are told around the campfire as night draws in and a broad swathe of stars twinkles into view, framed by the high canyon walls.
